i have System with Micro-Star board(MS6163),Pentium3 866 , Trident Blade 3D Graphics, Conexant HCF Combo modem, Maxtor 33073H3 Hard disk,Winxp pro SP2 and Symantec Antivirus installed but it restarts often i already checked for viruses pls help to resolve the problem... with win98SE Explorer.exe crashes often can any one help?????

First, UPGRADE your OS. Win98SE is 8 years out of date and is no longer supported by Microsoft. More than likely, it is a currupt file in the Explorer.exe and replacing your PSU won't help any. Depending on the version of Symantec that you have, it may not be backward compatible with 98SE as Symantec is a Corporate version of Antivirus and 98SE isn't used in the Corp world, not even in 98. We used Windows NT, then Windows 2000 pro.

check the cpu fan, as excessive heat can cause spontaneous reboots. you failed to mention your ram(memory) 98se likes at least 128mb, but i would go with 512. Bad memory can also cause crashes as can the power supply getting tired.
Could be your PSU, change it, they are only about 拢10-20
