Is it ethical to create and unleash non-destructive viruses or worms to test the security of the current Internet?

Is it ethical to create and unleash non-destructive viruses or worms to test the security of the?agv

depends on who you use it on, global virus? hell no they are just annyoing. targeted virus to test specific clusters, killing the virus, and passing along what you managed to do and how? then yes to a degree; DDoS, DoS and similar are taking it to far unless they ask.

Ethic's to this question are more what you do with it and why, if you do it to ppl that know what your doing and why then its fine but to do it just because you can is just anoying

Just as ethical as it to to infect people with aids to test the newest drugs.
you may check the ACM website to find it out
No
I don't think so. First I think it would be nearly impossible to make a non-destructive virus. I don't want your process running on my machine even if you are doing it to serve a greater good. The Internet is not your property, it is public.
