If you re-installed ur windows program, would the viruses and trojans be removed as well?

Let's say I want to re-install my windows program on my laptop. Do the viruses and trojans horses go away or do they have a way to come back?

If you re-installed ur windows program, would the viruses and trojans be removed as well?norton antivirus

If you format your hard drive, then reinstall your windows, you will have gotten rid of the viruses and all bad things.

yes, ive done this several times because of viruses
If you format your hard drive and then reinstall windows, the viruses will be terminated. You will lose all of your data though so back up what you need.
sometimes the viruses will stay. they are called 'boot sector' viruses.

use fdisk /mbr or delete and recreat the partitions when you reinstall
No I would recommend the anti virus system that yahoo provides for free Ez-antivirus or norton or macaffe. Also use Ad-aware to remove spyware

Good Luck.
Depends on if you are just re-installing the program or if you formated before re-installing. if you formatted, they are gone.
You usually have to do more than reinstall. you actually have to format the hard drive. As this will delete all the files off your computer, you will want to be sure you backup anything you want in the way of pictures, music, documents you have written, etc. first. Copy them to a CD or DVD (something that can be removed from your computer) before formatting the hard drive. Do NOT try to backup any of the programs, just the data files.
Reinstalling won't remove them. You need to make sure you format and repartition your hard drive first before reinstalling. then they will be gone, Unless you have a virus that has infected your bios or cmos.
if u will format ur laptop and then reinstall windows then all the viruses will be gone.
Yes.. just wanna throw in my $.50 cents... the virius will be gone and when you reinstall... it will be like your pc is fresh out the box.. i do it a lot when my pc gets slow... just something2do when i have some free time. also.. it keeps your computer skills sharp for whenever someone else needs your help reformatting their hard drive. they can call on you! ;)... (GOOD QUESTION)
unless it a very serious one yes
If you only re-install windows without re-formating the hard drive, the virus's and trojan horses could still be on the hard drive. I would re-format and then install windows from scratch. You could also just get a free anti-virus software program like AVG from free.grisoft.com. Good Luck!
if you've formatted the windows drive (full) and the virus was on that drive yes otherwise NO. You can use the Antivirus program like norton or mcoffe to scan your drives
