Do you think its wrong to quarantine people with deadly viruses from mainstream society?

When I say deadly viruses I mean like diseases that can wipe out generations. Like aids or a sickly disease that has no cure until a cure can be found. I believe if this was done earlier during the first out breaks many lives would have been saved. I do not believe this step is inhumane but, self sustaining for a greater good. True, many people get these diseases through rape, bad transfusions and etc. But, for those people who care not who they infect put those people who do in a bad place. In doing this the deadly diseases will be eradicated.

unfortunately, at least with the diseases you mentioned, this is no longer possible. There are millions and millions of people with aids. what are you going to do with them all??? Trying to quarantine them would only make people with aids go into hiding and stop seeking medical treatment. With no people to administer medicine to, how will we ever find a cure.

however, with truly deadly, highly contagious diseases, such as rare strains of TB, ebola, avarian flu (if it ever mutates) etc.etc.etc., where the only possible precautionary measure is staying away from people, they should absolutely be quarantined. Given fair treatment and allowed to live as normally as possible, but never the less, quarantined.

Aids can be prevented by not having sex or checking blood for aids, and choosing not to have children when you have HIV or AIDS. With other diseases, there are no precautionary measures yet.
