Since the Wii will use Opera to access the internet, will it be able to catch viruses and spyware? Will it be able to get messed up like PC's do? Is it protected from that kind of bad stuff since it runs on Linux?

i dont think its gonna be anything to worry about. i doubt the wii will store website data. so bad cookies should be the last thing on your mind. also im sure the wii will be very picky on what files it plays, so if a file is corupted or contaiins a virus the wii probably wont even access it.

If you walk thru walmart with your mouth wide open you can catch all types of viruses and such. You are on spyware at walmart as soon as you walk thru the door, just look at the ceiling at all those black bubbles which contain cameras that spy on you. Your server should provide adequate protection for you, if it doesn't change servers.
