You should quarantine, wait to see how it impacts the computer (to determine whether it is actually a virus you quarantined) and delete it afterwards. (Normally it will automatically delete quarantined items after a certain amount of time) The privacy objects is like history that has probably been collected by the anti-virus for removal.
Quarantine means the file infected is placed into a "safe area" of the computer, some files are identified in error as a virus so if you Quarantine a file and realise a program does not work anymore you can restore the file (Where as if you deleted the file you could not)
