My computer's been really slow. No viruses or spy-ware. Any ideas?

My computer restarted one day when the power went out and ever since it's been really, really slow. If I minimize a window the entire thing starts freezing up. Songs and videos skip and, most of the time, they don't even play. Like I said, i've scanned hundreds of times for viruses and spyware and nothing came up. I've also cleaned out my temporary internet files and the cookies. Nothing's working. I'd really appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance!

Why not try a system restore to an earlier date before the power went out to see if this helps the problem.
PC's do that after a long time without fragmenting it. Also a good idea is to FORMAT you machine once in a while, say once a year. Just make sure you have backup's of everything.
maybe there is to much saved on it?? i don't know. but if you have that geek squad around you that comes to your house and fixes your computer, don't call them. total rip off! just try and call the company you bought the computer from!
