Which one is the first living creature on earth, bacterias or viruses?

We used to heard to many times before that bacteria is the early form of life in this planet but virus is even less complex when compared with bacteria. There's even a theory that viruses hitch a ride on a meteor and when it hits earth,it evolves and thrives into variations of living organism. So,any ideas boys and gals?...

The first living cells were (big word coming up) heterotrophic anaerobes. This meant that they were other feeders (fed on naturally occuring amino acids) without oxygen. It wasn't until later that photosynthetic (organisms able to use energy from the Sun) developed.

There is still debate within the scintific community if viruses are actually living. The need a living host in order to function and reproduce.

The bacterium must have developed before viruses, viruses depend totally upon a host for their continuation. It is thought that viruses emerged as mobile pieces of DNA (or RNA) derived from their host. There are many "inactive" viruses stably integrated into the genome of humans
