Stopping autorun feature of pen drives for viruses?

Many viruses usually spread from PC to PC by the autorun of a pendrive and I found somewhere that it can be disabled by doing some registry tweaking by the run command or something....

Now, I am searching the internet for this but cant find it... Any Help? Thanks......

OK, in Regedit, you need to navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Wi... Create a new DWORD value and name it:

NoDriveTypeAutoRun

Set the value to (hex) "ff" or (decimal) "255". They are the same value, just don't get them mixed up (i.e. enter HEX 255 or something). Reboot and see if Autorun is disabled.

Dude don't do anything on registry whenever you insert the pen drive at the same moment press the shift key ....then viola !!!! u got my point
hold on shift button while plugging in.
