I really would like to download some songs for free, but I'm always hearing that certain sites will give you viruses, or that you'll just never know.

now type in the name of the song you want, using periods instead of spaces.
If you only download music from legitimate sites (iTunes, walmart.com, etc), you should be able to avoid viruses. This usually means you'll have to pay for them, unless you find some sites with copyright-free music, but if you're looking for stuff you hear on the radio or can buy in the store on CD, it's NOT copyright-free, and any site you can download it for free on could possibly send you a virus or spyware along with the illegal download.
